So easy to remove damaged screws

 

There is nothing worse than having kids and all of their toys requiring batteries that are held in place with screw on covers. I always tend to strip those screws with how often I get in to them. Someone always tightens them way too much and then I end up stripping them trying to get them off again to change out the batteries. I have tried every hack out there to get the stripped screws out, but now have this kit to help make things easier.   There are four metal removers in this kit. It is all contained in a small plastic container for easy storage. Each screw remover has the size on the side of it, so you don't have to try to guess which one to use with the screw you are trying to get out. They are designed to work with most drills, just like a drill bit, so you can easily get them out even if you are puny like me and don't have the hand strength to use a screwdriver when it is stuck.   On one side of the bit is an end that is designed to bore in to the stripped screw and smooth it out enough to get the other end in with a tight enough fit to pull it out. After drilling it down you then take it back out of the drill, turn it around, and insert it back in to the cleaned up damaged screw you wish to remove. I didn't even get to see him do it since it went so fast. Their listing says you can remove a damaged screw in less than 10 seconds and with how fast my son got his taken care of, I would say he definitely did it quickly.   I think I may pick up another two sets for my dad and brother, since they do more work with things that might need these.
