I'm not sure if these actually help to keep my produce fresher longer but I did notice that it made the clean up of my produce drawers easier. Anytime fruit juice seeps onto the life extender it is so easy to pull it out of the drawer, rinse it off in the sink and then place it back in the drawer. For convenience alone these are worth it
