We have been having problems with kids entering our property in the dark of the night and stealing stuff. This has to stop! This is why we bought these 18-LED motion sensing solar lights. They are quite bright and will come on and stay on until the subjects leave the sensing area. These lights have 5 modes: motion+low intensity, Motion+off, On at night high, on at night low, off. They should be mounted 7-10 feet off the ground and will sense motion in a 150 degree arc, and at a distance of approx 25-30 feet from unit. The lights can be swiveled a full 180 degrees, allowing for a variety of different applications. They also come with hardware to mount them several different ways, though in our case they will be mounted to wood so we are screwing them directly into the wood.
We will be mounting them to the roof facia board and they should really do an excellent job. we are hoping that they will convince the kids that someone is home and discourage them from theft. Also, the thieves will be illuminated, so neighbors will be able to see what is happening
