Where has this lightning stick been all my life! I can't count how many times I have run into problems trying to get things off of my iPhone onto my computer. Either my computer wasn't able to sync with my iPhone at the time which stopped the transferring altogether or it would simply take a long time for items to be sent from my iPhone to my computer. That was of course before I can upon this magical device.
I must say in order for me to use this lightning stick first I had to go to the Apple app store is on my iPhone and had to download an app called WitStick. On the first glance at the lightning stick, you will see that it looks just like a normal everyday USB port, however, on the opposite side of the USB port, there is just a huge metal part. Honestly, if I didn't know ahead of time what exactly this lightning stick was supposed to be I may have a little confused as to where the iPhone port was located. In order for me to get access to the iPhone connector, all I had to do is gently pull on the metal part covering and that is where the iPhone connector was located. What a brilliant idea to protect the iPhone connector from possibly getting bent or broken off by the way that it is designed. After the app was downloaded and I opened up the lightning stick, I plugged the lightning stick into the charging port on the bottom of my iPhone. At this time, a window popped up on my iPhone screen asking if I would allow Witstick to communicate with the flash drive. After pushing the allow button the which stick Opens up and gave me four options to choose from. The first option is a multimedia button that if I pushed it would allow pictures and videos to be taken while in the app. The file management option showed me exactly what was on the stick and gave me the option to delete or share what I had on the lightning stick. When I pushed on the file transfer section another window opened and on this new window, there were two different options to choose from. I could have the items from my iPhone photo album go to my WitStick or I can take things off of my WitStick and put them onto my iPhone library. I decided to see exactly how long it would take to transfer 17 videos and 11 photos to transfer from my iPhone to the WitStick. All 28 items transferred very quickly to the point that I didn't have to wait that long. After all these items were transferred over onto the WitStick, a window opened asking if I wanted the WitStick to delete those items off of my iPhone to which I let these items be deleted off of my iPhone. Next, I put the WitStick into a USB port located on my computer tower and when I did that, the folder opened which contained all the items that I had just transferred onto the WitStick. When I went to transfer the 17 videos as well as 10 extra videos that I really had on the WitStick onto my computer I am pleased to say that it only took a total of 3 1/2 minutes to transfer all those videos and that is amazing to me. The last option that is on the WitStick menu is the one touch backup. When I chose this option I was able to backup contacts, images, videos, audios or documents that were on my iPhone. There is an off and on switch that controls the backup which I really feel is helpful because I don't want to really pick up anything that I don't need to save so I make sure that the button is switched to off. Overall, I absolutely love this lightning stick. This lightning stick is amazing and I can imagine how much time I have wasted in the past trying to transfer videos from my iPhone to the computer. I can't believe how long I have lived without this amazing and time-saving device.
