I recently purchased a smart plug from a different company and even tho it runs off the same software, it is much easier to use, setup and is more reliable as far as handling power. The added bonus is the USB charging slot on top. I have yet to use that part but I do see it coming in handy sometimes. Setting it up to my Echo Dot was simple, just make sure to have the correct skill enabled; conveniently on the instructions page is a QR code that you can scan that will take you right to where you download the app. Overall, since it's so easy to use/setup, it has an extra USB port and it is stable as far as handling power, for the price, there is no doubt this is a 5-star item, forget the price, its just a great item!
