Small stainless steel shaving cup, but perfect for travel

My husband asked for a safety razor for Christmas a few years back and has used it ever since. This last year, my oldest asked my husband if he would buy him one and help him learn how to use it, since he was getting tired of asking for disposable razors. So for Christmas, HE got a shaving set, too. Now my youngest is getting close to the age where he will begin shaving, and I thought I might as well bypass the disposables altogether and just pick up the different shaving pieces for him now. This is the first piece in his set that I was able to pick up.   This is a simple shaving bowl. I don't have much I can say about it, honestly. It is simple in design. It is a lot smaller than the shaving bowls my husband and older son have, but I think with the smaller brush that we have in the cabinet, it will be the perfect size. Plus, it will help my youngest learn to use only the smallest amount of soap that he needs to shave.   The bowl is made of stainless steel and has a nice shine to it. I was impressed with the look and feel of it, though I did hope for a larger bowl when ordering. It fits nicely in my hand, so will be a little big for my son's hand until he grows a bit more. Being stainless steel, you see every fingerprint and bit of foam or lather left on it, but washes clean easily. It is also good at conducting heat, so if you use warm water to create the lather for your shaving soap, it will product a warm lather. My husband's ceramic bowl does not hold the heat long enough for the soap to stay warm like this little bowl does. It does hold heat and he can still shave with  warm lather, but it cools quickly. The stainless steel bowl retains the heat far longer.   Though not a large bowl, it is still a great one to consider picking up. It is going to be the perfect starter bowl for my youngest. And it would be great for a travel set, being small enough to pack with a small brush. Don't let the size fool you - this little bowl is a great one!
