Loose Stone on the Necklace at Arrival

This Jewelry set from Luyuan Jewelry has a tear-drop shape with a blue stone and white stone design. The packaging for the product came undamaged and the jewelry set came in a cream-colored box with a cream colored fabric bow, which was a nice touch as it would be easy to wrap or use as a gift as it. The ring was loose in the cream colored box, much like several other pieces I have gotten from Luyuan Jewelry, but the other pieces were nested into black foam and none of the pieces were damaged.

However, I want to point out immediately that the blue stone on the pendant is loose and I am concerned that it will not stay put together long. It would really detract from the set for me if the necklace breaks, as to me that is the focal point of a jewelry set.

This set comes with a ring, a necklace, and a pair of earrings. The necklace pendant was noticeably larger than the pendant for the earrings and the ring. The necklace chain is definitely shorter than I prefer my necklace chains; I am likely to add a chain extension as I prefer my necklaces to sit a bit lower. The pendant comes off the chain easily enough if you prefer to replace the chain with a different type. Overall, the set is pretty and proportional so I do like the design of the set very much.

This pieces are very pretty; the blue stone shines nicely and the white stones around it give the piece a glittery effect. However, while the pendants are large and sturdy in terms of the metal, the stones generally are small and I have concerns about how well secured they are because of the loose blue stone on the pendant. The ring and the earrings seemed secure, but I’ve only had the pieces for a few days and I am not sure if they will remain secure with repeated use.

The pieces in this set are a bit large and the stones are obviously manufactured, but it really does not detract from the shine of this set. The pieces are not very sturdy; the blue stone in the necklace was loose on arrival and I have some significant doubts about the longevity of this set. I would give this set a 2 out of 5 stars; while I think the pieces are very pretty I find the loose stone very concerning.
