Be sure to read the instruction manual which states to start your car engine before using the vacuum to give it a more powerful suction. Easy to empty and clean the filter after each use for best performance. The HEPA filters are washable but just make sure it is completely dry before using, the extra filter makes this easy. This is such a handy item to have in my vehicle and it works well to remove both wet or dry dust and dirt from the seats, carpet, cracks and crevices on the interior of my car. So nice not to have to bring the shop vacuum out to use each time I need to clean out the car, and love that it is portable and easy to store in its carrying case in my vehicle for when I need it.
