It came complete with great instructions. It has all necessary cables except one, I used the audio cable to go from my radio to the player so it could go through my truck speakers. I would suggest that if you want to listen to the radio, you get your children head phones to listen with. The external speakers on the player are not very loud. The picture is wonderful and clear. The screen is large enough for everyone to see it -10.2 inches. To change the dvds out you just pull the monitor toward you and the dvd comes out from behind. There are so many settings that if you chose to you can mount it on the roof of your vehicle, and that's what I will do. There are settings to orient the player's image as to view it from however you wish to mount it. It comes with a remote so you don't have to reach over someone and you can stay seatbelted safely. I am very impressed and happy with this player! I would recommend it to anyone.
