This is a synthetic nylon set of brushes with wooden handles. The brushes are numbered 1 through 10 with 1 being the smallest and 10 being the largest brush. The #1 brush is great for painting eyelashes and #10 for doing large areas such as landscapes.
This has a nice variety of brushes which include:
3 Round Brushes #1, #2 & #7
3 Flats #3, #6 & #9
2 Filbert #4 & #10
2 Slant/Angled #5 & #8
The three-round tip brushes came with a protective cover to keep the bristles in place for fine detailed painting. They work well with my acrylic paints leaving minimal brush stroke marks. I was pleased that they remained firm set and had no shedding while painting and cleaning them. I cleaned these brushes immediately after I was finished painting with warm water and a small amount of dish soap. Then I rinsed them well and dried them from excessive water. They cleaned easily and still looked new. As with most paint brushes, I wouldn't leave them soaking in water except while I was using them.
