This is great little unit. Unlike the ones we had around when I was a child this one doesn’t make strange noises or zapping sounds. I used to feel horrible when we could hear the zap’s every time a bug would hit those. No clue why. In Arizona the bug season is nearly 9 months out of the year. We leave our porch lights on because, there is zero street lights in residential areas. The flying bugs and insects seem to swarm buy the thousands.
This can be used outside as long as weather permits and there is no precipitation at all. It measures 15 x 12 x 3 inches with a 4 foot long cord. The two 10 watt UV blubs are replaceable. With a coverage of up to 5,000 square feet this covers the entire front yard. Comes with a chain to hang it up wherever you need. This also has a nice little removable tray at the bottom to clean up the dead bugs and easily throw them out.
