Nice, but not metallic or shimmery

I was not as impressed with this set of eye shadows as I was with my last set. I saw the metallic shimmer in the name and expected them to be shinier and more shimmery. There is really not much metallic to them at all, though. And the shimmer is very faint. The pictures of my hand really make them look dull and lifeless, but it is not far from reality. I have found it to be okay when doing my eyes, but am not as pleased as I would like. It works great for normal everyday neutral looks, but wasn't the glam and pop I was hoping to get from it. If you want a set of shadows that you can do neutral looks with, this is great. If you are looking for metallic shimmer, it isn't really in this set. Plus I wasn't overly thrilled at the cardboard-like packaging for the palette. It just felt cheap to me. I have bought better shadow at the dollar store, honestly.
