Bought this set for my wife mainly for the gloves for hand(arm) protection when frying spring rolls, bacons, eggs, etc., because of the 19.7" long protection for hand and arm and up to 446℉ heat resistent protection. The gloves are consisted with 2 layers, outer silicon layer and inner heat-resistant cotton layer. They are quite confortable to wear, because both layers are soft, and the inner cotton layer does not accumulate moisture like other single layer gloves.
The set also comes with basting brush, meat claws, and a thermometer, which are mainly for BBQ. The meat claws are actually quite handy, when you need to seperate a chunk of cooked meat into small pieces for preparing hanburgs, such as pork. One day, my daughter brought back 2 turkey legs that she got from Disneyland, and I found out that it's super easy to use the meat claws to seperate meat into small pieces from the bone. I used to be using forks to do the job and that is tiredsome. The meat claws get the job done in only about 1/4 time of what I used to be.
Great set making life a lot easier.
