Jeteven 12 Inch Rose Gold Non-ticking Wall Clock

Although I've got a wrist watch and can also access the time by picking up my phone and pressing a button when I'm at home I prefer to have a wall clock so I can glance at whenever I like to tell the time. My old wall clock was lovely but it had an annoyingly loud tick that was really noticeable if I didn't have the TV or any music playing, this really bothered me when I was reading as I found the loud tick intrusive to the point that I took the clock down and gave it away to a friend who liked it.

I then decided to look for a "silent" clock that had a design and colour that I liked which was not as easy as I'd imagined. It felt like I'd looked at hundreds of clocks when eventually I saw this lovely looking rose gold wall clock which was described as "non-ticking". I decided to get it and see if it was as quiet as the description implied, if not it was getting sent back for a refund !

The clock came in a box without a battery ( which always annoys me as I'm sure that by including 1 x AA battery wasn't going to bankrupt the makers plus it is good customer service) the information with the clock was no to use Alkali or rechargeable batteries but the cheaper carbon batteries because the other batteries could haem the mechanism, this seemed odd to me and I've never had this advice before.

The clock looked like the pictures that were shown on Amazon's pages and the colours matched which reassured me. The clock is 12 inches in diameter so it wasn't too big or too small for my room and when I found out a carbon AA battery I was also delighted to find that this clock did not tick and was as quiet as described.I like this wall clock, it's colour, design, quietness and am really pleased with my purchase as now I can read and glance up at a clock just to see the time instead of in annoyance at the loudness of a tick.
