I have many sets of packing cubes and I love to use them to keep my clothing organized when I travel.  These are good because they are more like ziplock bags than packing cubes.  I use them for items that I might not want to get wet in case of rain on my trip.  It is protocol at the airports, that if it is lightening, the baggage people are to leave the baggage right where it is and seek shelter.  Many times I have gotten luggage that is soaked when I got to my destination.  I have learned to put all of my clothing in waterproof bags so I have dry clothes when I arrive.  I buy blanket bags to put into my suitcase first and then load all of my stuff in them and zip them up.  These bags add a layer of extra security for my things. amd they also keep my toiletries from getting on my clothing in case of a leak in a bottle or tube.  Handy to have.
