Sleep is something that comes reluctantly at times, with too much distracting noises, weather, cars driving by. I noticed that our doctor has a white noise machine in each of the exam rooms. I asked why and they said it provided a feeling of calm during medical exams, so I thought it may help getting to sleep as well. I can say that it does help quite a bit. It provides the calm mind needed to drifting off to sleep. I should have bought one of these years ago.
This device has 5 sounds, I find that the ocean sound is the most soothing to me personally, though there is a variety to choose from. It will also play music from an SDcard (not included) if you wish. It charges using standard USB cable (like your phone). It even has a timer so it will turn off after a certain time, if you wish.
