I got this toy because the service dog that I was matched with is stupidly smart, and gets incredibly bored in the house when he's not 'working' so I'm always looking for new ways to play with and stimulate him.
He also loves to play tug, and I liked the fact that the rubber 'spikes' would possible aid in cleaning his teeth.

I have recently been getting him a lot of toys, and have been disappointed in their quality because he can instantly tear them apart. But, this toy is not proving as easy for him, which is a good thing! There is a small part of the rope down by the rubber ball that has the strings from the knot loose. He was able to tear those off pretty quickly, although I don't think that it's affected the overall structural soundness of the design.

The toy is light enough to not hurt anyone if thrown but heavy enough and aerodynamic enough that it can easily be thrown quite a distance!

My service dog is a German Shepherd, who can tear through toys very quickly, and many of them have lasted less than 24 hours. So far, this one has been played with non-stop for 3 days and still looks brand new. Granted, that could quickly change, and if it does I will make sure to update my review. But, as of this moment, I am pretty impressed with this toy. He seems to like it, and it seems to stand up to his insane chewing abilities. The price is very reasonable and I'd recommend it to others.

To show the toughness of this toy, I am including a photo of the day I took it out of the package, and one from right now, to show the lack of any damage from the intense play in the last 2-3 days.
