Blows stronger than expected, but lacks functionality in design

Summer comes quick in Arizona. Less than a month ago it dipped into the mid 20's inside my house at night, now I'm lucky if it drops below 75-80°, and it's only April. So I am always on the lookout for portable fans, solar chargeable anything, and gadgets that will help me stay cool that I'm able to charge on the go with one of my portable battery banks.

I was a little apprehensive about how effective this little fan would be at actually moving air flow efficiently, since its very small overall. I liked the idea of being able to fold it up and carry it easily in a pocket or overnight bag, so I gave it a try. I must admit, the size IS a huge plus, as it's only 3" long when folded up, which is small enough to carry anywhere I go. Yet my suspensions that the actual design of the product would make it unable to function without having to be held in my hand, was unfortunately correct. The fan has to be unfolded and open to turn on. Once unfolded, it has a hinge that allows various different angles to lock into, yet none of the positions allow the fan to function if you want to not have to hold onto it. Because the heavy fan part of the product is on top therefore no matter how you try and set it down, it falls over. So this fan has to remain in your hand in order to use it, which is great for a quick cool down, but I was looking for something that wouldn't stop me from doing my work and would keep me cool throughout its charge. I was impressed however by the force of air this little fan has. I was not expecting so much power out of such a small portable fan, so for me, so far that makes up for needing to be held on to. I'll figure out a way to attach it to my desk somehow so it stays securely upright so I'm able to use it all day if needed once the temps here reach over 110° consistently.
