If you want some emergency lighting or just a portable lantern to take on camping trips, night fishing, use on a small boat etc then I think that you will find this the ideal reasonably priced option.
The lantern comes in a cardboard box and measures 3.4 inches (8.3 cms) in diameter and 4.8 inches (12.3 cms) in length when collapsed and 9.8 inches (18cms) when extended. It has an all plastic constructions with metal carrying handles on the top. a hook on the base which also has 3 x magnets for fixing to a metal surface.
The lantern is powered by 3 x AA batteries (not supplied) and is very easy to use, you just have to extend the lighting section from the base and the LEDs switch on and when pushed back in the base they switch off again. The LED's give off a useful bright multi-directional light and this would be good to keep in the home or the car for emergencies.
