First, I want to mention I purchased this 9 months ago and I am not at all disappointed. This item was made to perform a very simple task, and as it performs that task just as it is supposed to, the durability is what makes this product so impressive. This stand has been dropped, thrown, rained on ect and it has maintained as if just bought. The grips on the bottom are still intact. I know when my device is placed on the stand it will remain there. Although I do not use it for use with tablets often, it carries the weight with no flexibility. When I purchased mine there was not a choice of colors, so it is a matte black. Universal in every way. The opening at the bottom of the cradle is useful when charging. Overall, for a product that was intended to perform a very simple task, it is made to last. You do not often see quality like this in electronic accessories. I am very satisfied with my purchase!
