This gives more than enough room for a 15-16 inch laptop, along with several textbooks. And that's just in the center pocket. Fully lined with a satin, scratch proof fabric and every inch of the lining is attached, including the sides and the bottom. No loose fabric floating around as I've seen on backpacks of lower quality. The area designated for the laptop is padded well, oversized and well secured. Plenty of zippered and open pockets located in various places for an amazing amount of storage. There are two full sized zippered areas, the main one with the laptop area and another exterior one that also comes with plenty of storage space. A third zippered area still provides an extra location for more books. There are two bottle pockets on the sides, along with adjustable straps so you can secure down your possessions if necessary. The shoulder straps are also easily adjustable and have a nice amount of padding for comfort. Very professional appearance, with a waterproof gray fabric and strong, sturdy zippers. The bottom expands and it stands securely on its own. Happy and impressed with the quality and style that went into this.
