Cute but tricky

This Zouvo fashion watch is a cute accessory that can go with many different outfits. I personally purchased this as a gift for a girl that I consider my niece, although we aren’t related. My niece has a very expressive personality, and I firmly believe that her accessories should showcase her unique sense of style. I will say that the clear plastic package that this watch came in had a slit in the side that looked like it popped open. Thankfully, the product itself was undamaged even though its case was open. The battery on the watch works as well.

The watch is a bit odd in that the straps are much longer than your average watch. It can be a bit strange to put it on the first few times until you get the hang of how to wrap it around your wrist. The gemstones, while clearly rhinestones, add a nice touch of sparkle to the watch that makes it pop while you are wearing it. The print on the face of the watch is sort of bronze in color and the numbers are in a script font. The various straps are brown and thin enough to be comfortable, but they are not bland.

The watch serves its purpose nicely. It tells time and as long as you know how to read a manual watch because the numbers are clear and easy to read. It is manual, not digital, so don’t get this unless you or the person you are gifting it to can read a manual clock. It runs well and it does not have an audible ticking like many manual watches have which I think is a nice touch as I don’t want my accessories to distract from what I am saying in my own job. It seems fairly sturdy, although the watch is secured with two snap on buttons.

Overall, I would give this product a 3 out of 5 stars. The damaged package concerns me and the wrist straps, although it creates a cool visual effect, can be tricky to put on unassisted. Finally, the snap on buttons can make it a bit too easy to fall off if you aren’t careful. I think it is a better gift for someone who is young, like a teenager, than the average adult as it would be tricky to pull off as part of a work outfit at a lot of jobs, but it can be done!
