This leash is absolutely great! It is much longer than any other retractable leash that I have ever had, and is very comfortable in my hand. I can lock or unlock the leash with my thumb so that I can control how taunt or slack the leash has when walking my pet. There is an audible clicking that ensures that you know when it is locked or unlocked. It doesn't appear that it would be easy to tangle, and I completely unreeled it to see the length and had no issues with it tangling when I was reeling it back in. The leash itself is relatively thin, so I don't think that I would push it and try to use it on extremely large dogs, but my dog is smaller, so it is not even a concern that I have, or something that I feel the need to test.
