Will be a good backup adapter, but it's missing that 'click' I'm use to that let's me knows it's secure.

I have to admit, I was more than a little apprehensive about the quality and durability of this mount when I received my package. My last mount was from the actual name brand company, and it doesn't look anything like this one... Just on first glance I can see through the bottom plate of where my Garmin would actually lock into place, which the original has an extra piece right there as kind of a double locking mechanism, for security. Also, this tell me that the underneath of my Garin is going to get wet. I ride with a few friends of mine, and it never fails, we always decide to veer off into the trees and find a new path to map, and there are almost always more than a few puddles and creek crossings along the way. I had never even worried about my Garmin getting wet though, till I pulled this out of the package. The picture also shows it including the Alan wrench that's necessary to tighten the adapter securely to my bars, which it did not come with. In fact, it didn't come with anything at all. Just that single black plastic piece, in a zipper seal bag with a sku sticker on it that somehow was half missing. No identifying feature at all as to who made it, or any type of manufacturer's or seller advertisement for their product with at least some kind of company/product information included, like you normally get with any product you buy. This adapter fits and hold fairly ok, but the only way I'll use it is flipped in reverse so that my Garmin is directly over the stem, I just don't trust it enough to be out front like ti's shown. And maybe it's just a false sense of security, but my Garmin just doesn't 'click' into place like my other ones do. Which may not mean anything, but that just adds to my apprehension about it.
After using the mount over the weekend, it held up really good the first day or two. But then I noticed I needed to make sure I had the Alan wrench (that was not included) in the pouch I have with my water bottle so I can access it quickly. It will be a decent backup in case my current adapter goes missing again, but it's definitely not as secure as my original. My bars are 38.1 and by the 3rd day, I was retightening it every few miles.
