Teach your children the value of coins

We bought this digital coin jar for our granddaughters. They seem not to understand that coins are actually money and therefore place no vlaue on them. We are hoping this device will make a positive impression on them and teach them the value of money.

This coin jar operates on AAA batteries and, as children insert coins, they are tallied according to value using a unique and brilliant spring loaded sensor that measures the diameter of the coin and identifies the value of each as they are inserted into the slot. The lid has a digital readout that continually displays the value of coins in the jar. The child can read the display on the top at any time.  As you feed in each coin, it will temprarily blink displaying the value of the coin, then it will quit blinking and display the total vlaue of the jar.

One thing to consider: This coin jar will become quite heavy as it becomes filled, your small child will drop it if on a high shelf. It should be placed at the right height for the child to insert coins and read the display without the need to pick it up.
