I recently picked up a pair of Weluk aviator sunglasses, which my 11 year old son immediately claimed and wore nonstop - until the baby decided to try them on and broke the arm completely off rendering them useless. I told him I would find him another pair of sunglasses that he would love just as much. I hoped these would be the ones.
This set is a pair of oolarized sunglasses. They have black rims on them with green lenses. The arms are silver with black earpieces. You can also get them in other colors and combinations, my personal favorite being the tortoise and brown. That is what I would have chosen for myself if I was buying them for me, but I had picked them up for my son to replace the broken ones, so went with the most general, basic looking ones I could find. Thus I picked the black and green.
The sunglasses come in a hard zippered case that will protect them in your book bag (backpack) or purse. I know when I was a student I was notorious for crushing my glasses. And even now as a mom, I always choose the hardest case for my regular glasses because I know I am going to smoosh them and leave myself with pieces of glasses instead of something I can truly wear out in public. I appreciate seeing these came with a hard case, though I laughed when my son left this at home after learning that the glasses CAME with a strong case. They also have a lense cleaning cloth and a silky drawstring pouch. I did not expect to get all three of these in one package with the glasses, and all for under $20. Not a bad deal overall!
When I presented them to my son as a replacement for his broken aviators, he gave me a look like, "You're serious?" He informed me they were way too girlie for him, though my husband and I both agree there is nothing girlie about them at all. I think he just wanted aviators again, so I will have to keep looking. These will be my back up sunglasses for now.
