Worked Perfectly for My Cat's Shedding

Out of every product that I have reviewed so far, this is hands down my favorite product! I have four cats and one of my cats, a beautiful grey and white male named Oliver, sheds quite a lot. I’ve tried just about every normal type of pet brush before deciding to give this brush by Pecute a try.  My spouse is a dog groomer, and he says that this type of de-shedding brush is called a “Furminator” and that they get into the undercoat of a cat or dog to get the shed fur. When I tried this on Oliver, I quickly determined it was exactly what he needed.

I tested this product out on each of my four cats, but Oliver has the thickest fur and sheds the most, so he is going to be my primary example for you all. I will briefly discuss my results on the other three cats however. All four cats are Domestic Shorthairs with varying colors of fur. On Nova, Eliza, and Olivia, this brush did a great job of brushing out their undercoat and getting rid of the loose fur. They did not have a ton, as I brush my cats regularly, but it did a nice job of removing the shed fur that a normal brush simply does not get. None of my cats showed any signs of discomfort or pain with this brush and the metal prongs are rounded slightly instead of being sharp against their skin.

Oliver has a very thick undercoat and, as I mentioned, was my primary test. The first thing I noticed was how easy it was to move the brush through his fur and grab the shed fur. As long as I did not try to twist it at odd angles, the brush did not snag or pull Oliver’s fur. In addition, I was able to remove quite a lot of the shed undercoat with just 10 minutes of brushing. I, quite literally, filled the entire box that the brush came in with shed fur with very little effort and absolutely no signs of discomfort from Oliver.

In addition to being effective, this product is really very easy to use. You just brush your cat with it and when the metal prongs get full of cat fur, there is a black button on the top to push the fur off so you can start fresh. It is easy to grip as the base is a comfortable size for holding in your hand and it slightly textured as well.

This product thoroughly deserves the 5 out of 5 stars I am giving it as home grooming tool.
