Need a Gym Bag or a Travel Bag? Pick Me!

I was surprised to find that I like this little backpack. The first thing I did when I got the backpack was unpack it. It is foldable and is about the size of a small purse when it is folded and rather thin. It could easily be stored basically anywhere when it is not in use. It would be easy to fold, pack, and take on trips as well. I unfolded it and successfully refolded it into the zipper pouch as well. Too often something is "foldable" but you can't ever refold it after unpacking it the first time, so I was pleased that this backpack passed that test. 

Once I unfolded it completely, the zipper pouch that it folds into becomes the front pocket of the backpack. It is a good size pouch and easily held my Ipod, a comb, and an assortment of other small items that I use for the gym with space left over. 

In the main compartment, there is a very small pouch near the top that can be used to store small objects as well. The main pouch of the backpack was larger than I expected. While it is by no means a huge backpack, it comfortable held several gym outfits, tanning lotion, travel size shampoo and condition, and a small hairbrush with room to spare. 

I took the pictures of the folded backpack and the unfolded backpack on a pillow for comparison. There are water bottle holders on both sides of the bag, which is great since I intend to use this as my gym bag in the future. The bag is light and the straps are long enough to easily carry the backpack on my back as an adult. 

There were a few downsides to the bag, which resulted in the 4-star rating instead of a 5-star rating. The small pouch on the inside does not have a zipper, so it is not the most secure and the items stored there could fall into the main compartment. The material is clearly cheaper and I am not sure about the long-term durability of the backpack although I suspect it will be fine as long as you don't overpack it. It is also not the most aesthetically pleasing backpack, as it is just a solid matte blue color. Still, it is an affordable small backpack that is definitely suitable for use as a gym bag or a travel bag.
