Colorful Night Light!

I absolutely love this Himalayan Salt Lamp! It is small and perfect for a desk decorative light, a night light, or just for a pretty household decoration. It came well packaged; there was no damage to the box or the product when it arrived. It also arrived on time. I took this out of the box immediately when it arrived, as I was excited to receive it as I’ve never had one of the salt lamps before. Salt lamps are designed to remove negative ions from your home, or so the listing tells me, but I’ve just always found them to be lovely pieces of decoration. It came with the light-bulb, usb plug and wall adapter, and the actual lamp itself.

The Amazon listing says that the lamp is about 3.5*2.6*2.6 inches, which is consistent with the product I received. The salt lamp is built well, solid and sturdy. The salt formation’s appearance is also consistent with the Amazon listing. It’s petals each look individually strong, so I am not concerned that it will fall apart if it was accidentally knocked over by one of my cats. It is a bit smaller than I would have expected, but it is a great size for a night light, which is exactly what the listing describes it as. I will say that I doubt that it would be very effective at removing negative ions because of its small size. I think a larger one would be more appropriate for that purpose.

The best part, in my opinion, is that the light changes colors so the lamp glows in many different colors. I took a picture of quite a few of them for you to see, but I cannot promise that I managed to capture them all and I can only post 5 here. There is definitely a blue, green, red, purple, and white color in the rotation.

There are a couple of the slight drawbacks. You have to unplug the lamp to turn it off, as there is not an actual on and off switch. If they ever decide to tweak the design, I would definitely add a switch to it. Otherwise, the only drawback that I can see is that the health benefits might be limited by the small size of the lamp.

This lamp definitely earns a 5 out of 5 stars for its purpose as a Himalayan Salt Lamp night light. If I ordered it to be a full size lamp, it would likely be to small but it is perfect for a decorative light or a night light.
