Love the look and feel

My boys already tried to steal my blanket as soon as they saw it. I told them no, this was MY blanket. They have major blanket issues, always taking every blanket they can and sleeping with heavens knows how many on their beds. They both tried to claim this one for themselves and were upset with me when I told them they couldn't have it.   I loved the look of this blanket as soon as I saw. I wanted it right away. I loved the color scheme. My bedroom is done in shades of gray and my living room is in burgandy. This matches either. It is large enough to be a great lap blanket, while still being large enough to wrap around you or share with someone else. I love the size. It is not too long or too large to make it bulky and troublesome for you.   And it is warm. I was impressed with how warm it was. It is perfect for carrying along to those chilly nights out watching high school sports and games. It is marketed as an all season blanket, but it is definitely warmer so I doubt I will be using this in summer months as a throw on the couch. It is made of polyester, but when I first got it I thought it was wool. It is a little scratchy, though it looks buttery soft. I thought it would soften up with washing, but have been afraid to wash it since it says no tumbling dry. You are supposed to line dry it. I was expecting the dryer to beat it to a soft snuggly feel, but now don't know what will happen if I do. The tag says you can dry clean it, too, but I refuse to dry clean my blankets. I typically avoid anything and everything dry clean only, opting only for things that will be cleaned from home.   I love the blanket but do not love the cleaning directions. I recommend it for the look and size, the warmth, but not for the cleaning. I am thinking of trying it in the dryer regardless of what it says and hoping for the best.
