Keep Your Phone Safe in a Splash Zone!

This purchase came with 2 waterproof pouches; one of them is dark blue and the other is black. They are made of a thick plastic like material and each one has 3 push zippers and a velco strip that allowed you to fold the zippers beneath it for added security from the water. They each have a strap that clicks shut that can be used to carry these pouches around your waist.

Overall, these are a great product. They serve the purpose of being water proof very well. I put my cell phone in the blue one and run it in the sink for quite a while and no water got in. The strap is thick enough to be reasonably sturdy and should stay on even if you are moving around swimming, hiking, or doing other outdoor activities. I could definitely see these pouches being useful at a water park to keep your phone, ID, money, etc. dry when you go down a log flume or a plunge ride.

There are a few draw backs to the product. The strap isn’t terribly long, so you may need to purchase an extender if you have a larger waist size. In addition, while the pouch itself looks large on the outside, the plastic is quite thick and the inside is a bit smaller. It could certainly carry the essentials, but I would not expect it to carry much more than a phone, cash, cards and maybe your keys comfortably when moving around with it.

All in all, the pouches are lightweight, waterproof, and definitely a useful tool if you need to keep your phone, Ipod, cash, or other valuables safe from water. It would be useful for rainy days, water parks, hikes, or any number of activities where the risk of getting wet is high. Like sitting in the splash zone at Seaworld or the Aquarium? This could keep your phone and valuables safe while you get to enjoy the cooling splash.

This is also a nice value – you get two of the pouches instead of just one for $10.99 if you have Amazon Prime. Considering that works out to a bit less than $6.00 a piece with tax, I definitely think this is worth the investment even though the product has a few small drawbacks that earn it a 4 out of 5 stars.
